Our MAC Writers meetings: Addressing Safety concerns

Hi, Writers

Just an update on how our last meeting went. We had a wonderful meeting with almost everyone bringing writing for critique. I was so pleased that we had two new people attend, and both were eager to participate and brought writing

We had the meeting outside with all of us sitting apart. We did not pass out our writing, but each read their piece aloud and we made notes to share with the writers. All in all, it worked out quite well.

I understand your concerns about safety and doing my best to address them. I don't intend to have online or remote meetings at this time. As long as the weather cooperates, we can meet outside. If you'd like to exchange your writing with each other outside of the meetings, that is up to you. I've participated in online groups before and while it can be beneficial, it takes a lot of scheduling and organizing to make it work, and it works best for very small groups. I'd prefer to see you all in person!

I'll keep you posted if anything changes, but I do hope you'll feel comfortable to attend next month.

God bless you and keep writing! - Donna
